Check Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox on Android

Confirm protection is on and choose how strict it should be.

4 steps

  1. Open Firefox settings

    Do this
Tap the three-dot menu, then Settings.
    You should see
    The Settings list opens.
    Undo or troubleshoot
Tap back; nothing has changed yet.
  2. Open Enhanced Tracking Protection

    Do this
    Tap Enhanced Tracking Protection.
    You should see
A switch and Standard, Strict and Custom options appear.
    Undo or troubleshoot
If your device is managed by work or school, some settings may be locked; ask your administrator instead of trying to override them.
  3. Turn it on and choose a level

    Do this
Make sure the switch is on, then choose Standard or Strict.
    You should see
The level you picked is selected.
    Undo or troubleshoot
Choose Standard again to restore the default.
  4. Test the sites you rely on

    Do this
Open one site you sign in to, play a short video, and go to a shop's checkout page without paying. Reload each once.
    You should see
Sign-in, playback and the checkout page work as before.
    Undo or troubleshoot
If one site breaks, undo only the last change you made, or add an exception for that one site. Do not switch off all protection, and do not clear all cookies by default — that signs you out everywhere. For one broken site, tap the shield icon in the address bar and turn protection off for that site only.
