VPN.ac offers protocol-specific connection allowances and a seven-day refund window. It does not log VPN activity, but its policy explicitly describes temporary connection metadata.

## Supported apps

VPN.ac lists apps for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS; its homepage also describes a Linux client as beta. Other systems can use supported third-party clients or manual configuration. SecureProxy is browser-only protection, not a full-device VPN.

## Protocols and connection options

The provider lists OpenVPN, IKEv2/IPsec and WireGuard among its supported options. Its FAQ still labels WireGuard beta, so confirm the current instructions and app support for your device rather than assuming all documentation describes the same release.

## Company and jurisdiction

The terms identify a company registered in Sibiu, Romania, and select Romanian law. A provider’s security-consulting background is not itself a certification or an independent audit of the VPN.

## Logging and personal data

VPN.ac says it does not log actual VPN activity. Its privacy policy explicitly says connection logs include IP addresses, connection start and end times and transferred-data amounts, erased once the session terminates. Its FAQ says removal occurs shortly after disconnection. Website access logs have a separate retention policy. This is not a claim that no connection metadata is ever collected.

## Independent audit evidence

The cited service, FAQ and legal pages do not supply a dated independent no-logs assurance report. Evaluate the disclosed connection-metadata handling directly rather than substituting the operator’s professional background for external evidence.

## Devices, refunds and renewals

The homepage describes up to twelve simultaneous connections split into six OpenVPN/IPsec and six WireGuard connections, not twelve on any one protocol. Trial accounts have a smaller allowance. The terms offer a full refund when requested within seven days of activation or the last payment, subject to details and troubleshooting, no second refund and exclusions for policy violations. Some payment methods require an alternative refund channel. The terms allow price changes with prior notice; check whether your chosen payment method creates recurring payments and cancel those through the appropriate billing channel.

## Who should consider it?

VPN.ac may suit users comfortable with manual configuration and explicit protocol limits. If your priority is no collection of source IP or connection-time metadata, its disclosed session logging is a material reason to compare alternatives.

A VPN protects traffic routed through its tunnel; it does not guarantee anonymity or replace HTTPS, secure devices and account protection.

VPN.ac offers OpenVPN, IPsec and WireGuard. Its twelve-connection headline is split between protocol groups, an important distinction when planning device coverage.

## Who this VPN suits

Advanced protocol and connection controls. Consider the devices you use, the features you need and the length of subscription you are comfortable paying for.

## Plans, pricing and renewal

$3.75 per month equivalent — Advertised starting monthly equivalent; select the term at checkout. Check the chosen plan's billing and renewal terms.

A monthly equivalent is the subscription charge spread across the advertised term, not a promise of monthly billing. Promotions, taxes and regional prices can change; check the complete charge and renewal terms on the provider's checkout before paying.

## Devices, platforms and protocols

Up to 12: 6 OpenVPN/IPsec + 6 WireGuard. Platform coverage: Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux. Protocol options include WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec; availability can differ between apps.

## Features to consider

- Separate protocol connection allowances
- Obfuscation options
- SecureProxy browser extension

## Privacy and practical limits

VPN.ac says connection metadata includes IP addresses, session times and transferred data, and is erased when the session ends. It says it does not log actual VPN activity.

A VPN protects traffic within its tunnel. It does not replace operating-system updates, strong account security or a realistic assessment of who can access your device. Router configurations and browser-only extensions can protect different traffic from a full-device VPN app.

## Refund terms

7 days. Read the provider's full policy, especially if purchasing through a third-party app store.

## Before you choose

- Twelve connections does not mean twelve on any one protocol.
- Its connection-metadata policy differs from a blanket no-logs claim.
